    About Us

The community-owned Bridge Center of Buffalo, Inc. offers daily ACBL-sanctioned games for bridge players of all skill levels.  ♣   We offer players the means to improve their ability through lessons and supervised play from highly qualified instructors.   ♦   We encourage a player-friendly atmosphere by promoting a Zero Tolerance Policy.   ♥   We participate in philanthropic endeavors by holding charity games.  ♠   Our long range goal is to encourage new player involvement in the game of bridge while continuing to provide a pleasant atmosphere for our players. Our investment in a dealing machine allows us to feature pre-dealt hands eliminating the need for players to shuffle boards at the start of each session. Furthermore we provide detailed hand records at the end of each session including analysis of achievable contracts...a fabulous learning tool.  ♣  Our most recent improvement is the purchase of BridgeMate scoring terminals. A small calculator sized device sits on each table during the game allowing entry of contracts and results. This greatly speeds the game, providing final results as the last hand is played. It will also allow us to publish the contracts reached for each hand after the game.

The Bridge Center of Buffalo began with the idea that our community deserved to have a not-for-profit, member-owned club that would endure despite the comings and goings of its members.  ♣   On October 2, 2004 we celebrated our grand opening. In October 2010, we met our goal and became a completely member owned and operated bridge club.  ♦   We celebrated our tenth anniversary in October 2014, financially self-sustaining and expanding our member base. Our programs to attract and develop new players are flourishing with many new players moving through our mentoring and novice programs to compete successfully in our Open Games.   ♥   Our members participate in high level National events representing our District in the North American Open Pairs and Grand National Teams.

We continue to offer regular games and lessons at all skill levels, six days a week with occasional special games and parties on Sunday; please see our calendar for details.  ♦   Contact us if you have questions or suggestions.  ♥   Thank you for visiting our website. Please join our community for a friendly game of bridge!
